We currently offer 5 fixed price Plans.

With the exception of the Direct Cremation Plan, all our Prepaid Funeral Plans can be purchased for a burial or a cremation funeral. All of our Plans include the essential services needed for a funeral, with an increasing combination of options for you to choose from, depending on which level of service is most closely suited to your wishes.

With each Plan you’ll pay a fixed price today that won’t be affected by any future rises in funeral costs.

What’s included in all Empathy UK Prepaid Funeral Plans?

There are certain features that all our Plans include as standard and at no extra cost. These guaranteed services are:

Confidential guidance on all aspects of the funeral such as advice on the registration of the death and collection of all necessary paperwork.
Care and preparation of the deceased, including 24 hour transport to the Funeral Director’s premises within a 25 mile radius.
A no quibble 33 day cooling off period. If you decide not to go ahead within this period, for whatever reason, there will be no charge due whatsoever.
Full coverage of a Funeral Director’s costs for a cremation or burial funeral.

Full coverage of all cremation fees, including Minister or Officiant fee, and a generous contribution towards burial fees that will rise in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI).
Monthly payment options by Direct Debit extending up to 15 years.
Access to a nationwide network of Funeral Directors.
Free administration of your Plan – e.g. if you move home your Plan moves with you at no extra cost.
A coffin for cremation or burial (coffin quality varies across Plans)

Except for our Direct Cremation Plan, all Plans also include:

What’s not included in all Empathy UK Prepaid Funeral Plans?

Costs associated with obtaining a burial plot, headstone or memorial.
Doctor’s fees or medical certification fees where a Coroner becomes involved.

Repatriation from outside the UK, air or ferry fares and transport costs outside of a 25 mile radius.
Certain extras that might incur further costs such as the cost of a Wake, Flowers, Embalming etc.
Please note, this list is not exhaustive.

Purchase options

We offer a number of flexible payment options, so you can choose a payment method most suited to your circumstances. We’ll take a deposit payment from you and then prepare and send your Plan documents through the post. You’ll then have a 33 day cooling off period to consider and decide whether your Plan is right for you. You can choose to pay the balance in a single payment, or monthly in instalments by Direct Debit over a term of between 12 months and 15 years.
