Bereavement Support
Bereavement is an emotional, difficult and distressing time. When someone dies, there will be many matters to attend to, from registering a death through to stopping unwanted mail, to the legal side, known as probate, all of which you may be unfamiliar with. We are therefore proud to partner with the National Bereavement Service, who are a not for profit organisation. The National Bereavement Service have a specialist bereavement team who are able to help guide you and your loved ones through the steps that have to be completed when someone dies, dealing with the legal matters concerning the assets of the deceased person, or are there simply if you need someone to talk to. To further help you this is a free service and is included within all of Empathy UK’s Funeral Plans.
Making a Will
Making a Will is something that most of us would prefer to put off until another day. It is, however, one of the most important things that you can do. It means that your wishes are clear about what you would like to happen after you die and gives you peace of mind.
Empathy UK believe Will writing doesn’t need to be complicated and we offer a free writing service to all of our Planholders which you can request without obligation. Please contact us if you would like to accept this offer.
Protect your assets with a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
A Lasting Power of Attorney is an important legal document which can make sure your affairs are managed by someone you trust during your lifetime.
This may be needed if you become unable to do so yourself, perhaps through old age, illness or accident. Empathy UK’s legal partners can help you through all the stages of creating an LPA at a fixed cost. Please contact us if you would like more information.
